We pride ourselves on being able to do the jobs that others can't! Your wheel will be worked on only by a qualified Fitter & Turner with years of experience using specialised machines! Dr Wheels has been doing repairs & mods on the Gold Coast for over ten years, and we've got a few tricks up our sleeve! We can freight your wheels from anywhere in Australia, using both local and national couriers.
We are quality repairers to the wheel and tyre industry, and, yes we deal with the public too. We repair:Gutter Scrape - from when someone else must have been driving! Bent Rims - from pot holes that appear out of nowhere after the rain! Cracked Rims - that's the biggest pothole I've ever seen! Missing Section Rebuilds - don't want to go there! If your wheels require cosmetic repair as well, we can organise that too!

How we keep our prices down? By specialising in what we do best - structural repairs. We don't sell wheels or tyres. Note - We don't have the facility to remove tyres so you'll have to get the tyres removed before you bring them in however your local tyre stores are usually very accommodating in this.
We can't lose sight of what is at stake here. Safety is of utmost importance in every repair or modification. The lives of all road users come first - If it's not safe to do then we won't do it.

What sort of wheel repairs do you do?
Bent Wheels, Dents, Gutter Scrapes, Cracks & Missing Section Rebuilds.
How long does it take to fix my rim?
It depends on how busy we are when your wheel arrives in the workshop and how badly damaged your wheel is. Most Wheel Repairs such as gutter scrape/rash, bent wheels, wheel dents or cracked wheels will take 2-3 days if we aren't busy, however it could be 4-5 days if we are busy, while repairing a missing section may take a little longer. Any cosmetic repairs will increase the turnaround time..
What modifications do you do?
We Specialise in quality modifications to both alloy and steel wheels including : Widening rims, narrowing rims, change stud patterns, change the offset, machine the centre ball, machine the back pads to get your wheels under the guard.
I need you to fix my rim but I can't get to Yatala what can you do?
We can freight your wheels from almost anywhere in Australia, using both local and national couriers. We have both trade and retail customers from as far away as Townsville, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Darwin and Perth.
Is it legal to repair a wheel?
Yes! Many of our customers claim the cost of the repair for their bent wheels, wheel dents and gutter scrapes from their insurance company. If it wasn't legal, they wouldn't pay.
Do I have to remove the tyre?
Yes! We don't have the facility to remove tyres, so you'll have to get the tyres removed before you bring your wheels in. The local tyre stores are usually very accommodating in this, as you'll need to buy tyres sometime down the track! This is how we keep our prices as affordable as possible.

Bought later model wheels for my car and the centre hubs were too small on the new wheels. Spoke with Jacqui, Drew and Brenton. They gave thorough concise advice for someone who has no experience what can be done. Nothing was a hassle! They can restore, repair, just ask. Highly Recommended.
