FAQs
I am not sure how many boxes I will need?
It depends entirely on the type of boxes you use but in most cases, a "guess estimate" is sufficient until such time as you get closer to your move and are well into your packing, then you can contact us and we will finalise the quote. In most cases, we have not charged any extra if your original estimation was only a couple of boxes short.
Do I need insurance?
It is inevitable that there may be damage to your goods in spite of the best intentions of the best removalist. Insurance is your safeguard.
How much notice do you need?
Once you have accepted our quote and you have a date in mind - book then, but don't ever think that you may have left things too late. Just contact us and ask. We have moved and relocated many clients on a very short notice, due to their original removalist letting them down.
How long does it normally take to get there?
This really depends on where you are moving to and from, but on a general basis, please allow 1 to 2 working days between adjoining capital cities and contact us regarding any other approximate travel times.
Can your company help me with storage?
We certainly can. We understand that you already have enough on your mind, organising your move, so we will handle any of your storage needs.
Do you insist on customers using removalist cartons & boxes?
We do not insist that you use standard removal cartons, but we do recommend that you use them as they can save you money in the long run (see our moving tips on our website for more information). If you do require removalist cartons or any other packing materials, we can supply them.
How firm are your prices?
We prefer not to have to amend a price once it has been quoted. However, we are relying on you to provide an accurate assessment of the goods to be moved. If there are likely to be unusual access problems, they may cause additional delays, etc.
What additional services do you provide?
We understand that if we can't provide everything that you are looking for at a price that can't be beaten; we won't get your business. A choice is a cornerstone of our approach to business. Can you quote on any size removal?
Yes, we have the capability to assist you with any size move, from moving a few items, to a whole household, office or workplace.
How should I prepare my washing machine?
You should drain any water in it and refer to the manufacturer’s instructions. It is imperative that washing machines be prepared properly as these are easily damaged. It is not the removalist's responsibility to do this and any damage resulting will not be the removalist's responsibility.
