Lara Cattery

We have been happy with Lara's excellent services twice for our cat Grange. It really feels safe in mind when we leave cat to Lara for travelling. Definite recommend, and we definite will be back.

This is the best cattery I have ever taken my 2 cats to. Lorraine and Paul are wonderful, and go above and beyond to take care of your pets. When I dropped them off they got into the pen with my babies and patted them and cuddled them which settled them down a lot (Francis In particularly as he is old and loves cuddles). This place was amazing my cats loved to play around in the outside pen and had warm lovely beds when it was time to go to bed. I recommend this place to anyone and will use them again xxo

We have used Lara cattery for some years and have always found it to be a very professionally run business. Most importantly our cats have received the very best of care. I also had a cat that required daily medication and special care. Lorraine and the staff at Lara Cattery went above and beyond the call of duty required at the cattery in caring for this cat. Lara cattery has evolved and improved since we started taking our cats there and it is certainly worthy of its status as a five star resort for cats.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
I decided to place my 14 year old beautiful cats here for 3 months while i was travelling overseas.My handover was very thorough communicating to the owners the cats dietary requirements, disposition etc. I was informed that the only cages available at present was the smaller ones but in 3 or 4 days the larger pens with outside access would be available. I agreed paid a deposit and left my cats in what i thought was a caring responsible business. How I was wrong.
I arrived to pick up my precious children without ringing ahead thinking that it shouldn't be a problem. when i got there the owners seemed nervous i soon found out why. The cats had been trapped in the small cage for the entire time and not been allowed to exercise, a note was attached to the cage saying no fresh meat contrary to my instructions. One of cats had lost 1.25 kg the other 1.5 kg, which amounts to 1/3 of their body wait. Of course i refused to pay the balance and instead of issuing an apology i was harassed with phone calls by the owners demanding payment!!!
This is a true example of one of those disgusting kennels you hear horror stories about, it's operated by people who have no interest in animal welfare...
AVOID

I have left my Kitten/Cat at Lara Cattery a few times now and I must say the quality of care they have give Kitty was out standing, Kitty was a feral Kitten when we got her and I had to go away a few times and I was alittle worried but when I picked Kitty up she was more relaxed as they cared for her and kept human contact with Kitty, I believe it is 5 star resort, its so so so so so clean and its funny on how many cats they care for they will know each and everyones name and there diet... way to go Lara Cattery your the best xxxx

We have used Lara Cattery on quite a few occassions. When we pick Chardy up she is clean, content which is very important. It is a lovely place and the owners are very caring and are genuine cat lovers which you need to be to run a business like that. Would highly recommend to any cat lovers when their 'baby' needs a holiday too.
