I started my music journey with John about 10 years ago, now I call him not only a great teacher but a close friend. He understands that every student is different in skill and personality and caters each lesson to the individuals interests and ability. He is super friendly and is very engaging when lessons are under way.

John is just the kindest knowledgeable person.. myself n my son has met...he knows his stuff. I highly recommend John. He really taught my son alot...n that knowledge is still with my son..

John adapts each session to teach at the level of the learner and make each lesson not only fun but, makes it end with a student feeling they have accomplished something.

John has fulfilled his promise of getting my son play guitar after few lessons. Such a great improvement compared to lesson my son used to have in school. It has always been exciting and listen to my son rehearse new songs at home

I started lessons with John as a 31 year old woman with absolutely no musical knowledge. John was so warm and welcoming, he quickly made drum lessons lots of fun and not intimating at all. I love that he understands that, for me, drums are fun hobby, so he keeps things light, mixes up the content, and doesn’t put pressure on me to progress too fast. He genuinely shows curiosity in my interests so he can cater lessons personally. He is clear communicator and has been really accommodating when scheduling lessons. I am really glad I chose John as my teacher.

I was 68 and without a musical bone in my body when my wife bought me 3 lessons for Xmas to see what I thought. If John can teach me, (and he has) he can teach anyone to play the drums. Always respectful, John has enabled me to enjoy a whole new side of life, and my brain is now awake to music. Drums with John is fun!

John ascertains your musical knowledge, then starts from here. Each student is taught a taylor made program according to ability and interest. He is always encouraging and makes lessons enjoyable. Practice is set to challenge you and recordings and written music are there to assist.

John has been providing music lessons for both my son and daughter for a number of years. He is a wonderful teacher and takes time to understand where the kids are at musically and what they want to achieve. I couldn’t recommend John highly enough!

I have been learning drumming for the past year. It’s not always easy to get the time in to practice with work and other commitments but I enjoy it. John is a great teacher with a friendly, positive attitude. He is able to keep me motivated and keep it fun.
