La Porchetta

This is the 5th time we have been here over a year. This has been the one place I get truly excited for, while not as cheap as my other reviews. The value and amazing varied taste and freshness of the meals, fantastic.
Seated quickly bright warm and colourful place. All smiles, ordered drinks and food quite quick but the menu is extensive with many options.

-Gluten free options including pasta and pizza bases
-Wonderful list of vegan and vegetarian options salads, pasta, anti-pesto, pizzas and soups
- gigantic seating area this place could easily seat a table of 20 or more it's astounding
-varied meat dishes such as veal parmigiana (a taste to behold)
-i'll say it again, as good warm happy service is so hard to find these days... Smiles

A real great treat instead of the old fashioned garlic bread here, is to try if feeding around 4 or more the bruascheta, otherwise instead of garlic bread the garlic pizza. Cheeesy pizza more like!

We ordered between us wedges and vegetables, Chicken mushroom risotto and my new spin on a old true and blue the Veal parmie.

Quickly surprised to find mashed potatoes (fluffy) with my vegetables, everything was so fresh and crispy in the Veges and seasoned delicately, mashed potatoes had garlic and were so smooth it was quickly eaten with the addition of the Veal parma, rice for the risotto was perfect and creamy. Wedges were quite close to the fine line of too crispy but was also perfect with added crunch and very generous big bowl of sourcream and sweet chilli. Biggest seen yet.

Overall the meal come to $88 dollars with drinks which in my opinion. Money well spent, not the most regular place we visit but a damn good one when we do.

Most recent experience at this place was that wine was ordered. Staff came back and told us they were out of that wine so they offered a different type. What Italian restaurant runs out of Lambrusco? I should have known better than to go to this place twice as last time they "ran out" of some other item and said they would offer a replacement at the same price. Bill arrives and of course it was charged at the larger price. So... if you get the "run out of" line, be suspicious as it could be their way of upselling.
