Browns Mitre 10

Since moving back to Bribie Island a few months ago I have been doing a lot of house renovations. It's great to have such a hardware store on our doorstep. The staff are really helpful and I would have no hesitation in recommending Browns Mitre 10

Last week, I phoned ahead to check if they had wood pellets for smoking as we would be travelling in. I was told that they did. My teenage son decided to make the trip into the store. Upon arrival and looking for the said pellets then asking an assistant where they would be? He was met with a ‘we don’t have any’ when he informed the assistant that his father had just called and was told they were in stock, the assistant replied in a sarcastic manner ‘well it’s obvious we don’t have them’ as he points to the area with the bbq etc. Looking at other feedback here, it seems rude customer service is the normal here. Won’t purchase from this store again and am so glad the new Caboolture Bunnings will be opening soon.

Last week I purchased 6 cans of spray paint. One of those was faulty and wouldn’t spray properly. I took it back thinking it would be like Bunnings and swapped hassle free to be confronted with statements like I didn’t use it correctly to its empty and telling me I get upset over the smallest things easy when I was only trying to explain it was none of those things.

When I mentioned that it’s not good to infer that a customer was lying he told me not to call him an AH which never happened but made me feel embarrassed in front of other customers. Worth a drive to Bunnings.

Went the the store about a week ago. We do not wear masks as we have exemptions due to our health issues. A rather unfriendly woman approached us and demanded we wear a mask, when we told her we were exempt from wearing the mask she became irate and demanded we show her our exemption. Not going back. Not a very helpful store.

Don’t come here if you have a medical exemption for a face mask. They’ll demand to see documents proving yourself even though doing so is illegal. You’ll be treated like a criminal even though it is them breaking the law.

refused service for not wearing mask due to medical exemption. When asked for proof of exemption informed that was not required and that my medical business was mine and no ones else. Young fellow then preceded to pull his own facemask away from his face on which I informed him he made the utility of his mask useless.
