Dale provided an excellent layout and professional service in managing our town planning application through Council. I would not hesitate to recommend the services of Design Equilibrium for any future projects.

I used Design Equilibrium for my town planning plans and permits and they provided what I consider to be a very professional service.



To begin with, they are very approachable and always happy to answer any questions you may have throughout the process. They engage with you from the very beginning of your project to establish both requirements and set the expectations upfront with what they will deliver. This was really helpful because it allowed us to discuss what we were hoping to achieve and what was possible.



Design Equilibrium continued to engage with us right throughout the entire process and with every milestone until the project was finally completed. They were both efficient and effective.

I cannot comprehend the incompetency of this business. If it was possible to give this firm a negative star rating I would. Made the terrible mistake of going with them. They are really incompetent in the architectural aspects and dealing with council. They are really unprofessional in treating client but very professional in politics, misleading behaviour and creating false impressions. They misled us along the whole journey by saying “no need for pre-meeting with council”, “council is bluffing”, “be patient! this is a normal process”, … until we received council refusal. They never listen to your concerns and behave in an unprofessional way to make yourself feel ashamed and humiliated by saying “you don’t know anything about the process”, “we cannot educate you, leave it to us”…. They left us alone after receiving council refusal by saying “sorry, we cannot help you anymore”, “sorry and wish you all the best!”, “go and find a planner for VCAT yourself”,…. They also charged us for the a portion of building permit (working drawings) prior to lodging the planning permit application but refused to refund the working drawing fee even though they terminated the agreement.



Client relationship doesn’t have any meaning in their world. In fact, I can't believe they are still in business. Happy to share more about our application and leave it to you to decide.



But, don’t waste your time and your money and go somewhere else.

You speak to Dale for the first meeting and will realise that he should be a politician not an architect. He can talk for hours and repeat an incorrect statement in hundred different forms.
