Headquarters Studio Style

Years ago I used to go to some of the best hairdressers around South Yarra / Richmond areas, always for cut and highlights, but only because I was earning good money & believed paying top dollar was worth the massive sums I must have spent, especially in my 20s. I am now (much) older, definitely wiser & sadly a lot poorer since, being forced to stop working due to illness. A few years ago, a friend told me about Headquarters in Hampton st, where she had been going for many many years as she heard I was asking around. I was simply trying to find a hairdresser that didn't charge the crazy prices I saw in so many places, yet had loyal customers who had only good things to say about the standard of their coloring & cutting.This place sounded like what I was looking for, so even tho it wasn't near where I lived, I decided to give it a try. It is not overly fancy or trendy & quite small, but feels really relaxed & friendly & a few really great girls work there, making every visit really enjoyable. I have since been many times & have always been more than happy with the way they cut my hair, & the standard of the color (highlights in my case) is as good as anywhere. I would say the price they charge for cut and full head of highlights, is well under half what you pay in most well known salons around the inner city.Yet they still use about 3 different colors on your hair, so they are not cutting costs in any way. If, like me, you are finding the prices in most hairdressers have gotten way too high in recent years, so have become quite prohibitive, I honestly recommend you give HQ in Hampton street a try.I feel sure that most people could not fault the standard of what they do, and trust me, the girls are very hard not to like. When you leave with at least $100 more in your wallet than you would have, had you gone nearly anywhere else, surely, like me, you will say to yourself "what's not to like?"
