Papas And Pace

I was extremely hesitant to cut my hair, despite my undeniable split ends and its general lack of life. I had worked up the courage on many occasions to take the leap of faith but always ended up leaving my hair salon with only a trim. I was recommended by a close friend to try Papas and Pace and couldn't be happier with the service, cut (yes - I chopped it all off) and new style! I was looked after by Tim who not only guided me through the entire cut, but his sense of humour lightened an otherwise traumatic experience for me. I have since passed on the recommendation and have been getting my hair cut by Tim for the past 2 years!

I started visiting papas and pace last year after being recommended by a friend because I was unhappy with my current colourist. I was booked in with Demi and was so happy with my colour I have been going back to her ever since! She has taken me from blonde to brown and back again and I have always been happy with the result. The salon staff are friendly, always greet you by name and are very attentive (I am never left with an empty coffee cup or without a magazine!) I have been to many salons but would always recommend papas and pace to my friends.

Great colourists and stylists, who really care about you. Staff are friendly and down to earth and know their stuff. The salon's location is centrally located and very convenient. Visiting Papas and Pace is always a pleasant experience and I always leave feeling refreshed and fabulous.

I went in with Ombre, I had a picture of and explained a more natural Balayage. I left with an even more defined Ombre. I hated it and needed it fixed so went to another hair dressers, the other hair dressers said it was poorly done and I should let them know and at least get a refund. Papas and Pace would not call the hair dressers I went to for details of the fix because that had 'nothing to do with them'. This has not happened to me before and I am kicking myself for not taking pictures so lesson learnt and written off as a terrible experience!

Sadly my first time at this salon which was not a good experience . Tim cut my hair and then his wife did the colour . After much discussion and showing her photos she assured me she had the picture , however this turned out NOT to be the case and when she had finished the whole colour which was supposed to be a clean blond with some darker contrast put through looked anything but . She admitted to over toning and we went back to the wash basin to try and clean up the toner as my hair looked a bland ash tone all over . Anyway it took three attempts and the last with another consultation with the manager to try to sort things out and all up I was in this salon for 6 hours !!! I was given some free hair products at the end but together something so straight forward completely wrong is pretty disastrous but to give them their due they did try to put things right but clearly the colourist had not a clue. I therefore cannot say I would recommend them as I was going on holiday the next day and wanted to look really great and was so very disappointed .
