Don’t trust Ash

Don’t trust Ash. He tells the same tall stories to his customers. I found another customer who got the same excuses that got.

Poor installation and an owner who hit on my wife in my house

Beware that PVC Windows Australia seemed to have rebranded themselves as PVC Windows and Finesse under a new entity. It looks as though it’s the same people with a new company. Just ask Ash what company he was involved in before this one!

I signed the contract with PVC Windows Australia for approx. $130k (whole house with some very large windows and motorised windows)

Note: All the below were highlighted in an independent report by ManseGroup who did an inspection

- 1st day of installation the married owner (Ash) made a pass at my wife in my kitchen

- I had to pay for the crane and PVC Windows asked for the crane people to arrive 4hrs before they were needed so I ended up paying overtime and additional hours that were not needed

- The windows were not put in straight

- No flashing was installed

- They made structural changes to my house without a structural engineers certificate making my house uninsurable till I get a certificate

- The slide door tongue has a gap of approx. 2cm at the top and bottom allowing insects to come into the house and ruining the insulation that the windows were supposed to provide

- The locks didn’t work and I had to pay for a locksmith to fix the locks

- They left a mess around my house and didn’t clean up including broken glass left in the garden

- Damaged my driveway

- The fly screens were put in crooked and don’t keep the insects out as there are gaps

- They said they would make up a PVC cover to cover the steel beams but instead they installed very thin colourbond which now reduces the insulation effect

- They drilled into the frames that has now compromised the insulation (41 holes in 1 frame)

- Damaged walls

- Damaged tiles

- One window is bowed

- They didn’t take out domestic building insurance

- Windows that were supposed to be the same size (eg left and right) are different sizes

- Silicone used to try and patch/hide the poor quality work

- The powered windows were supposed to be able to be integrated with home automation but they can’t be

- I tried contacting them but they didn’t respond till a lawyer sent a letter and then like all good builders who have issues, they closed the company and opened a new one with the same people and even the same website. The original website pvcwindows.com.au is now rebranded with PVC Windows (instead of PVC Windows Australia) and Finesse.

- I could go on but I think you get the point.

I have an old copy of the Finesse website with PVC Windows Australia on it after PVC Windows Australia was closed. It also has the exact same email address that PVC Windows Australia used in the contact section so decide for yourself if they are the same people behind both entities.
