Idyllic Landscaping

We recently purchased an investment property and got Idyllic to carry out work needed on a retaining wall and a few other jobs. Couldn't be happier with the work carried out by the Idyllic team. The owner was a pleasure to liaise with right from the very beginning. The team didn't waste time getting started on the work we needed done and were always very organised in completing the tasks. Work was all finished in the specified time frame and we're so pleased with the result! If you're after a hardworking, loyal landscaping team, go for Idyllic. Great to see some quality work in the Canberra area

I gave this company a call after a recommendation from a few friends and family members, and I'm very glad I did. I knew the basic things that I wanted done (a deck, front courtyard paving, and general landscaping out the back), but didn't have much of a vision. The owner, being a young creative, was able to provide me with a free quote (I have to comment, this is one of the few companies left in Canberra that do this!!), had so many great ideas, and was able to provide me with so much direction. I ended up with a great deck out the back, a new shed, beautiful new granite driveway, and the paving done in my courtyard. Due to the knowledge and experience the owner had under their belt, they were able to suggest plants and design ideas I wouldn't have been able to come up with in years. I can't speak highly enough of the enthusiasm and commitment to the job displayed. There was a slight time delay (which I expected knowing the nature of how these things go), however it was only due to weather restrictions and to be honest - my own personal indecisiveness! I will definitely be using this company again for my upcoming investment property project and will continue to recommend them to everyone! Very reasonable pricing, honest communication, realistic time-frames, and fantastic results - could not be happier.

I engaged Idyllic Landscaping to erect a 3x3m garden shed.
The shed slab was laid in mid June as planned, but is out of square meaning the front edge has an unsightly taper from ~60mm in one corner to ~5mm in the other, and has a poor uneven finish.

I then spent ~8 weeks chasing to have the shed constructed. The panels were constructed in mid Aug one afternoon with a promise they would return the following day to finish. They were left leaning against the fence and obstructing my washing line, until after several phone calls, they returned a week later to assemble the shed.

The quality of assembly was atrocious and a quick inspection identified numerous issues including (but not limited to);
* roof was not fixed to the front or rear panel at all, and only held on by a few screws at each end
* no screws holding sheets in the roof and wall panels together
* end panels joined back panel 30mm+ from the end leaving large, obvious, ugly overhang
* doors out of vertical alignment by 20mm+
* doors wouldn't close properly
* bottom front corner had panels 15 - 20mm out of vertical alignment.
* Roof gable ran at an angle to the shed.
* Pieces had additional holes where they had been initially used in the wrong location.

After inspecting the state of the shed with the owner of Idyllic Landscaping on a Sunday (another week later) I was promised it would be fixed by the following weekend. 2hrs remediation work was done on the Friday, including adding some screws to the roof from the inside out (which would collect leaves and leak).

At this point I decided to fix the shed myself before any further damage was done to it.

I have been thoroughly unhappy with Idyllic Landscaping, and would STRONGLY advise against using them, no matter what promises or assurances are made by the owner.
