Deception about the car details and refusal to return deposit.

I was initially provided with incorrect information about a vehicle I was interested and pushed to put a deposit down which I was assured would get returned if there were any issues. Similar to the review below, once my deposit was received there was limited response from the salesman to clarify information and once the car details were identified to be incorrect they refused to return my deposit.

I strongly recommend avoiding this company as my experience has been extremely disappointing and they have shown to have poor integrity.

Unreliable Service: Broken Promises: Deception, and delayed deliveries

I was initially informed that there would be a a swap-over fee for my brand new Aldi with approximately 500 km on it in exchange for a 2023 BMW4 series coupe with 5,560 km for the amount of $32,000. However I later discovered that the swap over should have been for a 2024 BMW with identical specifications for the same price.

The dealership failed to provide the complete contract offering various explanations, which I have documented through text messages, for refusing to refund the money. This situation is completely unfair and unreasonable.

Dealing with them has been challenging to say the least. Anthony Bassil (the principle) is unreachable) and when you finally do reach him he is arrogant. Jason Yang said I would only lose my deposit Anthony Bassil says no you loose the lot.

It appears once they have your money, they show little concern.

I strongly recommend avoiding this company as my experience has been extremely disappointing.

Whilst I have purchased three BMW'S from this dealership in the past, it seems to be under new management with vastly different ethical standards- or perhaps none at all.

Don't bother with this dealership - good on promising without following through.

BMW Sales - what ever happened to Customer service?

If you are looking for a BMW, you are better off going with Hornsby BMW (my experience with them was exceptional)

Background: Bought a X3 demonstrator from this dealership in May.2021. When I collected the car at the end of May I raised a few very basic issues - things you would expect a premium car brand like BMW to be all over before delivery. Quality Assurance/Control seems to only exist in marketing collateral.

1) Kilometres – more than twice what was discussed/agreed and what the Contract of Sales showed,

2) Damage and scratches to the inside of the Boot Door and carpet inside,

3) Left over items – Baby restraint Bolt and one Earring,

4) General Cleaning - Coffee Stains, marks etc.

Point 2,3 and 4 were finally resolved about 6 (!) weeks later after multiple follow ups from my end.

On the kilometres issue I was continually promised that Matt (GM Sales) will be following up/in touch - no such luck after 12 (!!) weeks.

Bad enough that I had to follow this up every couple of weeks to see where this is at getting either no response or being told excuses like being on holidays or being very busy due to month end.

Frankly being told too busy because of month-end just shows how much value this dealership places on sorting issues of their own making out.

I have given the Salesperson (Zac) a final deadline to resolve this a couple of week ago which remains unanswered to date.

This leaves me wondering what is worse - the level of unprofessionalism I experienced or the inability to either communicate or resolve seemingly simple issues of their own making by this dealership.

Either way one of them would be enough to question what this dealership stands for.
