Canopy Tree Care

I put an ad on Service Seeking for a tree to be pruned. Canopy Tree Care offered to do the job for $80.00. Over the phone I explained that I wanted a small stump removed as well which was fine and made an appointment for 10.00am. The day before, they left a message changing the time to 12.30. I stayed home from work, guy arrived, looked at the job, quoted $440.00, obviously didn't want the job. I would have been happy to pay more for the stump as well and I had already explained that it was a small job with rear laneway access only. I have lost a morning's work, at a busy time of the year, to no purpose. Evidently, small jobs are of no interest to them but it would be courteous of them not to waste other people's time.
