Huxtaburger Restaurant

I head here every Tuesday to feed my addiction... Oh, and to catch up with Mates. In my eyes these are the best burgers in Melbourne for the price, you can't go past the Classic with bacon. But if you have the appetite the Theo cannot be missed.

Huxtaburger is a real Collingwood institution and has a cult following. The burgers are really good but with all the hype surrounding this place it may not meet expectations. They still offer some of the best burgers in Melbourne and though pricey, are worth it in my eyes.

My friends took us to Huxtaburger but I hadnt heard about it. We had been to dinner up the road and I didnt really understand why they wanted to go for a burger. I just put it down to them being boys and were still hungry. I followed them inside and the next thing is they are walking towards the back and trying to get through a door behind the serving area. To my surprise they opened the door and there was this super cool little bar hidden there. I was so excited about this little hidden gem. Not many people were in there and I felt like I was one of the privileged few to know of this little Melbourne secret. If you want to surprise a friend take them here!

Huxtaburger is one the best places for delicious, reasonably priced burgers in Collingwood. You can go for a simple classic or one of their other options like the spicy Denise or double pattie Theo. My personal favourite is the bills which adds bacon, egg, pineapple and beetroot.

They've also got a speakeasy bar next door, which you enter through a non descript metal door at the back of the restaurant/

If you're getting takeaway make sure you call ahead - the wait time can easily reach 30 minutes when they're busy.
