Pharmacist assisting an elderly male in front of me went out of her way to give him a discount and said "every cent counts". Then when I provided ID and requesed medication that was a) in stock and b) perfectly lawful for them to provide, she told me she would only provide it with a script from a doctor, which would cost me at least $50 extra. I guess every cent doesn't count if you're under 60!
