Went there for the first time with my daughter over the weekend. Definitely recommend attending during the family hour on Sundays for first timers. They also offer free introductory classes. The facilities are nice and new. Only problem we had was they ran out of helmet sizes for my daughter and so we had to wait a little while. Will be heading back some day soon.

This brand new ice skating rink is such a great addition to melbourne. It has 2 rinks and nothing has been left out. Fantasic venue and named after a great australian Geoff Henke. For a great time with the family or friends get down here and have heaps of fun.

In an era where all of Melbournes ice skating rinks are closing down, The Icehouse is a wonderful addition to the docklands area.
The Icehouse is no standard ice rink this place is serious! They have two rinks there: one for general use/play/fun, whilst the other is decked out for actual ice sports (i.e. ice hockey). It even has some stadium seating. Its a pretty cool place (excuse the pun) and definitely worth trying for some family fun, or even to try your hand at picking up ice hockey as a new sport!

This is the main ice facility in Melbourne with two large rinks. It is an impressive setup and a lot of government money has been spent here. Parking is available across the road. It is great for teenage parties and is also accessible by public transport (train and then tram). It is a far better option that its only competitor the - Olympic rink in Oakleigh which is old and needs renovation. Maybe ring up before hand and ask how crowded it will be and ask advice about possible less crowded times.
