The Salvation Army

Today I attended the store with the primary purpose of dontating two bags of clothing and other items (eg. DVDs). I went inside and proceeded to place the bags in the donation bin by the counter. I felt I was being watched by the women serving. She then stopped serving to inform me that she would have preferred me to have donated around the rear of the store, and asked me to do that the next time. I was very taken aback. There was no thank you, just straight in with telling me where the doors were around the back etc. I said I knew where they were, and if they don’t want people to use the bin in the store then they shouldn’t have it there. Pretty simple. If someone is trying to do a good thing then maybe rethink how you speak to them. I really felt like taking he bags back out again and dontating elsewhere. Usually the staff here are nice. I don’t know what this women’s deal was.
