I definitely don't recommend Campbells wholesale food supplier. I placed an order on a Friday and contacted the office for delivery on the following Tuesday between 7am and 12 midday. I also stated the importance of the delivery time due to work commitments. Tuesday arrived and at 11:45am I called the office to be initially advised, due to some depot issues with the trucks, there were delays. As such the truck had not yet left the depot, and as a result the delivery would be late. No phone call received from Campbells to advise of the delays so alternate arrangements could be made. I spoke to the Manager to be told in fact the truck was on the road but due to depot issues the trucks arrival would be delayed. As a direct result of the very late delivery my work commitments were impacted and I lost a days work.
To add further injury the driver finally arrived, parked the refrigerated truck 10 metres from my house, and slowly walked all my frozen purchases, in stifling 35 degree heat to my residence. This is despite me insisting he park the truck in front of my house for a quicker delivery. I also discover a missing item on the invoice. I speak to the Manager and discover they had run out of stock but again no phone call to advise. After my insistence the Manager agreed to refund me the cost of freight to compensate me for the extremely poor customer service and seriously dodgy freight handling. Especially when seafood was a large part of my order. My advise is shop around and buyer beware!
