Six Star Dry Cleaners

My partner dropped off some things we wore to a wedding to be dry cleaned my dress was handmade by myself (I’m a qualified dressmaker) and my partner specified when he took it in that it was handmade 100% cotton and drycleanable. He picked the items up Friday but I didn’t see them until Saturday night when I opened my wardrobe as I’d been working. the dress had completely faded and looked as though it had been bleached. When I took it back a few days later as they had been closed and I’d been working they accused me of not bringing it back straight away and would not apologise or admit they had damaged the dress. They kept trying to say they did not know the fabrication or that it was handmade even though my partner was very specific when dropping it off. I was also accused of buying cheap fabric from spotlight even though I’d said it was from a boutique fabric store in Ivanhoe. the only offer was to dry clean a piece of the scrap fabric id brought to show the colour difference but they were so defensive and unprofessional that I decided just to leave. I can understand mistakes happen but the attitude was terrible and I was treated as though it was my fault. I will never go here again
