The Espresso Doctor

Basically crooks. Charged me to import parts from and Italy and then six months later tell me that their paper work says it was installed when my paper work from them clearly says I am still waiting.

Basic business skills completely lacking. Hopeless. Will never use their terrible service again.

Avoid this company.

Our espresso machine wasn’t producing hot water, so we called the Espresso Doctor. The director of the company came out personally, spent about 40 minutes “fixing” it, and charged us $500. They didn’t even issue an invoice, just debited my credit card.



Later that day, my staff tried to use the machine—still no hot water. When they called back, the director rudely dismissed them and hung up.



In our restaurant, we deal with many trades—plumbers, electricians, fridge mechanics, AC techs—and none charge $500 for under an hour of work without fixing the issue. And if something isn’t right, they always return to make it right. Not these guys.

I thought I would write this so another person will think twice before you call this Expresso doctor.

I said the steam wand of my home Breville expresso machine did not work. They said it could be clogged and could fix and usually takes less than 1 hr. I told him we cleaned it according to Breville product support. The technician came in and opened the machine and tested, He said parts would cost about $400 and it was not worth. It toook about half an hour. He charged me for this $240.

I think this is a very easy way to make money,. There is a call out fee and 1 hr minimum and then you say, it is too expensive to fix. . When i made the appointment, he could have said that if it was not clogging, it could cost a lot to fix it.

I would never call any doctor to fix any appliances anymore. it is not worth. They do not fix but tell you, it would cost so much for parts. I believe ,when you make money unfairly, it will not bring you any good! Same goes for this.

I dropped our office coffee machine off and they said 3-5 days to service, well 8 working days later I called them and they said it wasn't ready. I expressed my dismay that they had not made any effort to keep me - their customer, informed. When I initially called and also when I dropped off the machine I specifically asked a number of times if they clean the machine and even said steam clean. At no stage did they tell me that they didn't clean machines. Well on picking it up it was dirty throughout and I ran my fingers across it and said look and Angela replied with oh we don't clean the machines, our guys just wipe down with a cloth - I said well if they did this then there wouldn't be this dirt on it! She even said she remembered me asking if they cleaned the machine - at this stage no-one said to me that they didn't clean the machine - totally misled. Extremely poor customer service - expensive service with no clean. My car service is cheaper and they even clean it and provide coffee and food as well! I was well and truly misled into believing that I would have a cleaned machine! They didn't care what I said, overall extremely disappointing experience.

They ripped me off. Charged me $400+ for replacement parts and labour only to come out and diagnose problem with coffee machine. Then promised me they would charge me only for valve assembly part and labour for that. Ended up charging another $200+ and said if I didn't pay they'd pull out the part I'd paid for on previous payment. Disingenuous and poor customer treatment. Not going back and advise others to choose someone else

Excellent service and repair at great cost for our 8 year old machine. Is working just like brand new and we hope to get another 8 years! Replaced parts and supplied us with the damaged ones as proof. Very honest and will be back.
