After seeing what felt like every pain specialist in Melbourne, feeling as though I wasn’t being listened too by any of them, feeling like a peace of meat in painful treatment procedures and at the same time, as though I was having to defend myself for trying to seek a half decent quality of life with my chronic pain that I could live with, Dr Gassin was recommended to me by another specialist. Not only is Dr Gassin the most authentic caring, egoless and capable pain specialist I’ve come across – his clinical advice and treatments have changed my life, I’ve managed to come off a laundry list of powerful meds and my pain is the best its ever been. Almost every time I have been in hospital chatting to the nurses and hospital staff, and other patients of Dr Gassin’ before and after my pain procedures (and I’ve had a lot), unprompted, they tell me how amazing Dr Gassin is and how for the patients he has been a ‘partner’ and advocate over years (I meet one lady who had been with Dr Gassin for 30+ years!) in trying to find the best possible pain management solutions, and from the staff, how as a medical professional he is their absolute stand out specialist who they all recommend and look forward to working with. This said a lot to me about Dr Gassin’s approach and the profound difference he makes to his patients, and I completely agree with their sentiments. This has been and continues to be my experience with Dr Gassin. I have seen Dr Gassin now for years, referred family, friends and colleagues to him, and all have provided the same feedback.
