Gisborne is a long, medium-level difficulty private course on land that is undulating. Visitors welcome at set times. I like it for the fast greens and the generally better course condition than found at nearby rivals, Kyneton and Woodend. After a lot of rain it stays wet because it gets heavy frosts so doesnt dry out much for a lot of the year. The cold in winter can be bitter. On one par five I have seen a putt miss the hole go round the back and then come back to the play so the greens can be surprisingly fast. If you are considering this course you might also consider Kyneton, Bacchus Marsh, Woodend, or Growling Frog.
