Dodgy business

I engaged Bill to install roof insulation in a house in Sydney. The insulation was delivered to the site and stored on the rear verandah. After several weeks Bill advised me that the installation had been installed and requested payment. I paid him for the job but later discovered that the insulation had not been installed and had been removed from the site. I took legal action to recover the money I had paid him and received a garnisher order but when the order was issued to the bank they advised that their was insufficient funds available to pay the money. I never received the money nor the insulation. Do not deal with this company. They are dodgy operators.

We used Smarter Insulation Services for our new home in Double Bay NSW. We have been very pleased with the service and advice bestowed upon us by Billy.

Bill offered me straight and honest advice eith installation of our ceiling batts. His work is excellent and very neat and tidy and I appreciated his seevice. He came to me very shortly after I gave him the go ahead , so the promptness was very pleasing . Now that we've had a few hot days , the insulation he advised me to install has been given a good run and I'm very pleased with the performance of the earthwool that he advised would do the job. I can recommend him to anyone looking for good , honest work, straight advice and excellent service .

We order the job 2 month ago and bill was calling us few times a day before we paid the deposit. The insulation job was expected to be done in one week after deposit was paid, and after he took the deposit, bill never call us back or return our phone calls. After 2 month, job not even started. ring him so many times, only pick when I hide my number. Office girl finally confirm no doing the job for us, but bill refuse speak to me directly. Through the office girl, he promised refund twice which obviously not happened.

I have to speak to fair trading now and hope can get things sort out.

Personally don't think it is good idea to pay him any money in advance.
