Le Rendezvous

Poor food and disappointing service. I recently ate here after reading a few good reviews. A gluten free garlic pizza (my wife is a celiac) cost $21 - non gluten free was $10. It was like eating stale cardboard, gluten free is not great at the best of times, but this was borderline inedible. I ordered gnocchi, i couldn't finish half the serving, it resembled week old half cooked mashed potato with a bit of sauce splashed on top. My wife's risotto was so bland it tasted like it was seasoned with water. Both dishes were left largely untouched. On paying the bill, the waitress asked how the meal was, my reply of "honestly, it was terrible" was met with a smile and a "oh, that's no good". I will not be eating here again.

Very disappointing, only two other tables there but after requesting to move to a table within the restaurant we had to sit in the outdoor area which resembles eating at a food court....noisy and unpleasant. Service was fine however food was incredibly slow and we had to send two of our dishes back....one VERY over-cooked steak and pasta with hair mixed into the sauce. Manager was very rude about it, after the steak was sent back he bought it back over to the table after about 20 mins claiming that it was cooked correctly....was a different steak as the one we had sent back had sauce on it and this one did not!! Steak was still closer to medium than medium-rare but at least not well done anymore! The manager also came back to the table to tell us that he could not find the hair and that all of his kitchen staff were bald....at out insistence he checked again and located the offending follicle....still came back to tell us that it could not have happened in the kitchen as his staff were all bald. The two meals were removed from the bill though we did have to pay for the replacement meal after waiting some time for it to be bought out....everyone else at the table had finished. Other meals were also unsatisfactory though edible.....very gluggy gnocchi, extremely salty veal and dry lasagne. Will definitely not be returning!!
