Alterations Now

I have been coming to this shop for years. Different people there now. Customers waiting outside at 0900 on Monday morning. Shop not open. No sign. Customers walking away angry. Returned at 1100 the next day as online says they are open at this time. Shop closed. Handwritten sign stuck on door says open at 1130. Ok I’ll wait. Shop still shut at 1230 ahhhhhh More customers looking through the door and walking away. Tried again this morning. Sign on door says Back in 10 minutes. I’m disgusted at this shoddy service. I shouldn’t have to wait around and try for days before they appear. Far too expensive also. Rude woman not looking at me but telling me to Bring Cash to collect. Young woman doesn’t care. Appalling lack of service. Don’t bother going there. THEY ARE ONLY OPEN WHEN IT SUITS THEM. No mater what the sign says.

So I got my beautiful Katmandu jacket caught on something sharp & it got a small rip in. I was excited to finally get it professionally repaired as let's face it winter isn't being so kind to me, so I was keen to get it fixed asap.
I am absolutely horrified with the terrible patch & stitch job that was done on it, I was under the assumption it would have a dart placed in it! And even if it was stitched the job would be on a professional level not what I can do at home myself.
When I questioned the quality I was abruptly & rudely offered my money back & told the patch would be removed - the damage done with this 'repair' far out ways the initial small tear & now I am stuck with an ugly patch on a $599+ jacket. So upset and feel I have no recourse!

I spoke to my tailor, she said when you dropped it off there was a piece of material missinig from the rip area so they couldn't do take in as a seam and also its close to another seam which is impossible to take in.

She said there was a sticky tape around the rip area and it was explained to you how they would perform the repair .

At this stage if you want me to help you any further you will need to remove all your negative feedbacks and than we can discuss further.

~Sadly due to the severe repair made, the jacket has been ruined further. The tape was there to stop feathers from falling out of the small tear initially.... The outcome is for me to take to Kathmandu where they have advised they will need to remove the whole 2 panels on both sides of the jacket. A standard repair costs $65 but due to the nature of the sever repair job I may be forced to pay extra fees on top. I highly doubt at this point you will be helping me out to that degree! Rude staff. Did a hack job of a simple stitch and repair on a hole in my jeans. Where they patched it up the patch is hanging on by a thread and I reckon I could have done 1000x better. changed to a different alterations service. Do not take your clothes here. absolutely shocking.
