Kids on top

My 7 year old daughter has been seeing Sonya for several months on a weekly basis due to concerns about her gross and fine motor skills. She had difficulty with handwriting and co-ordination generally and it had affected her self esteem terribly. She was quite sad and had become withdrawn, perceiving herself to be less than all the other children. It was also affecting her behaviour in that she had developed many strategies to avoid engaging in tasks she found difficult. Sonya has been warm and encouraging and made activities fun! My daughter has gone from being a child who actively avoided writing to seeking out writing materials to make her own lists or write notes. Instead of saying she is the worst in the class, she now perceives herself to be capable, maybe even the best at some things. I am so grateful for the improvement I see in my daughter, both in her skill level and in her self concept! I am so grateful to Sonya for helping my daughter become the happy little girl she is today. I cannot recommend her more highly.
