buyer beware

I have never felt compelled to leave a review on a business before, however, I feel consumers should be informed about this specific business. I purchased a HR monitor/smart watch through these guys in late December 17, with an expected delivery in mid to late January 18. This was delayed several weeks, this wasn't really an issue, but the lack of any customer support or information was.This carried on until mid February, in the end they couldn't give a delivery date and when I rang, they said I could call the supplier myself to obtain one. at this point, I asked for my money back. After another 2 weeks of them not responding to emails, I have had to try to obtain my money back through my bank, as these guys have said it was paid at their end, however, no money has been returned to my bank account. they also wont provide a receipt or transaction number for the return of the money. the next step for me is to call the consumer watch dog, because the lack of customer service is truly that poor. I have no doubt if you went into their store and purchased something off the shelf, you would have no dramas, however, their online purchases lacks realistic delivery dates, customer service and, in my experience, any effort to return your money after they fail to deliver.

Terrible service

Over the past 10+ years I have purchased my heart rate monitors from this store. I have chosen the more expensive option of buying direct from a retailer rather than online for two reasons 1) to support local businesses and 2) for support and assistance should something go wrong. I would have spent a few thousands dollars here and have referred at least 15 - 20 people to the store also. So I was so disappointed when I recently went in to seek some assistance to get my Garmin Fenix repaired (it had stopped working). The owner made it seem as though I was a major inconvenience interrupting his day, he wrote a 1800 number on a piece paper and handed it to me (I took this as a suggestion that I should call them and sort it out myself). I did so and was told I needed proof of purchase. I emailed the store for this and was rudely told it inst their job to keep my receipts for me. A few emails back and forward were fruitless and I have had to deal directly with Garmin (who have been ace by the way). Just really disappointed that the one time I needed their support it was too much trouble. Don't work in customer service if you aren't passionate about customers. I wont be using this store again.

Ordered a Fenix 5 on June 1st - was listed as in stock and available with express shipping.
Today is June 16th - they refuse to reply to emails and PayPal enquiries - have read this is common.
Just a heads up - they have a great range and pricing is A1 for Australia, but they do not back it up with customer service, and if what you ordered is out of stock you are out of luck.
Don't listen to me - google some more reviews and you will see this is common behaviour for this company.

Avoid if you want something in a deadline

BUYER BEWARE!! Please do yourself a favour, DO NOT buy from this disreputable business!!

Short Story - I bought a Garmin Fenix 3 HR & a spare watch band with express postage from Highly Tuned Athletes on the 5th of August. On the 25th of August a package was delivered. The package did not contain a Fenix 3 HR or a spare watch band, it contained a piece of cardboard. Yes I had received a piece of cardboard, perhaps the most expensive piece of cardboard in history.

Long Story - I bought a Garmin Fenix 3 HR & a spare watch band with express postage on the 5th of August. I was issued a tracking number & it hadn't moved for a few days. I contacted the store on the 15th of August to follow-up on my order. HTA agreed to contact Aust Post to investigate the hold up. There was no contact from HTA to inform me of any outcomes & they were clearly irritated by my daily calls for updates.

I was leaving the country on the 24th of August for an extended overseas trip & had bought the Fenix 3 for a trek I am about to do here in the UK. Understandably I was anxious to receive the Fenix 3 HR before I flew out of the country as a watch sitting in Australia while I am in the UK is of no use to me at all.

I requested a refund repeatedly so I could source the watch from another store & my requests were repeatedly denied. HTA would not issue a refund while there was still an item circulating in the post.

HTA has extremely poor customer service, they are unable to get their story straight. I was told on 2 occasions that they would send another watch & was later informed that they would not send another. I was given different stories from different staff members, in hindsight I wish I had recorded the conversations and had a record of all the different things I was told. They probably just wanted to get me off the phone, who knows? But it all adds up to incompetence and extremely poor customer service.

A long appeal to PayPal finally got me a refund.

I ordered a garmin fenix watch from this company, I received the confirmation of the order and then nothing. Two weeks later i called to ask where my item was, i was advised that it was out of stock and they didnt know when stock was going to arrive. I was offered a refund which i agreed to as i knew i could purchase the item from another online store. I was told that this would take 24-48 hrs. I sent an email straight away to follow up on this clearly stating that i wanted a refund. I did not get a reply for 2 days. The email stated that they had now sent a watch out.
I phoned the store and asked why they had done this as i just wanted the refund, the staff had nothing to say and were clearly uninterested. They have said that my money will not be refunded until they receive the watch back.
The customer service has been really bad. I would not recommend this store to anyone. I am jut hoping that i get my money back soon. My advise is to stay away!

Ignore any claimed postage delivery times on the website.
Don't be seduced by the discounted price, either.
I had the exact same experience as the other reviewer.
Save yourself the trouble and buy from a reputable business will actually provide what you pay for.

If you try order anything from this site they promote express shipping on all items and if ordered before 3pm it will be shipped out the same day. I purchased a GoPro Hero 4 Silver through their ebay store and granted it was after 3pm I expected it to be shipped out the following business day. After waiting two business days with no indication the item had been sent, I sent a message querying whether this had been sent as it had an ETA of no more than 5 business days from receipt of payment (according to THEIR terms and conditions of postage) They came back advising this item had a handling time of 10 business days...! I then went on to express that I needed this item in the stipulated time frame they advertised and that this is not acceptable and would receive the appropriate feedback. They then cancelled my purchase 2 days out from when it was supposed to be delivered. After further investigation in their feedback history I noticed this is not an isolated incident with people waiting in excess of 17 days on an item that they listed as available with express postage...

If you like myself need an item in less than 2 weeks then don't be deceived by this express BS. If you are willing to wait that long you may as well order from overseas at a cheaper price

Since I was unable to leave feedback due to cancellation, let me draw your attention to what others have said (which can be found in their feedback section of their ebay store) Like many others I was quick to bypass looking at what others were saying and drawn solely to the price:

Item never arrived, money not refunded. Seller no longer responding to emails.

seller did not post item quickly

Deeply unhappy with shipping. I waited for 17 days. Longer than oversea sellers.

Don't buy from this seller.

That is the worst sevice possible. thanks for nothing.

I ordered on the 10th, no contact by 16th. Just arrived by 24th.

Did not send..did not reply...refunded from Ebay..Poor service!
