We called Premier Electrical Group for a relatively minor job (seven switch replacements) and they billed for five people-hours (3h qualified + 2h apprentice) despite only 2 hours on site and one of the switches taking ~5 minutes.



The scope was clearly explained ahead of time; one switch was missed at the first visit and only replaced after repeated requests. Initially, Premier demanded a new call-out fee but settled on 30 minutes of labour despite the job being complete in 5 minutes and being part of the original scope. The work did get completed, but the billing and follow-up process were disappointing.



If you hire them: ensure you get a detailed labour breakdown, check what work the apprentice will do (and if there is any extra charge), and don’t assume the first quote covers everything.



I believe the final cost was unreasonably high for the work actually performed.

I am very happy and satisfied with the electricians of Premier Electrical Group in Melbourne. They are very professional and experienced in their field. Highly Recommended !!
