I needed some leather work tools today and accidentally drove to the city without my credit card. Lloyd very kindly let me have the tools I needed with just a name, phone number and assurance that I would pay him next time I was in the city. I'm usually a regular shopper with Country Leather, but will no longer be after the experience I had recently. I was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer, stage 4, very rare for my age (27). I was in the shop about to make a purchase and asked politely if I could use their toilet as I was in a lot of pain having recently finished my first Chemotherapy treatment within the last few days prior. I told the lady my situation briefly, hoping for some compassion and understanding, and she refused for me to use their facilities, even though she was not in the shop on her own and given the private information I had given her, to meet my urgent needs. She vaguely directed me to the nearest public toilets around the block). My friend waited in the shop as I returned in tears. Please have some basic human compassion, I would have happily left MY handbag (as tiny as it is) behind the counter for their own security reasons, understandably.
