The Roller Shutter Doctor

Worst experience and would not recommend using this company.
Our shutter started getting stuck. Called shutter doctor and Michael came out to have a look. He said it was the motor and that it needed to be replaced. So we spent the $500 and they changed the motor. That night it was still getting stuck. The next day I called and spoke to Tom. He said Michael would call me back. 3 days later and still no call. I called again and Tom said again that Michael would call me. 3 days again and no call. I called back and Michael answered. He said he had been busy but would come out the next day to have a look. He came back out and "fixed" the issue. He said that the motor had still been the problem because i was worried we had spent $500 on a motor that didnt need to be replaced. That night the shutter was still getting stuck. I called shutter doctor the next day and was told Michael would come back out the next day. He never showed. I called and he said he said he had got my number wrong but had cancelled work that day. He said he would come the next week. The night before he cancelled again. 4 days later he came back out and said that the motor had caused some blinds to become bent and we would need to change them. He took measurements to get us a quote. 1 week later we had still not gotten a quote. I called and Tom said Michael would call me back. Still no call. Called again and Michael answered and gave us a price, we organised him to come out. When he did the blinds were the wrong size. He had taken the wrong measurements. This was the last straw. It had been over a month since the shutter broke and it still wasnt fixed. I called a different company and they came the next day and fixed the shutter straight away, it didnt even need new blinds.
I hope my review saves someone else from having to go through this experience because it was just so stressful.

Fantastic job done in repairing a vintage window shutter. I thought I may have to get a whole new one but no, works like new.
