Lennox Head Motors

I have been hung up on, spoke down to, told my job was “annoying” and “taking up space in their garage”.

I have run around trying to get information, unable to provide a quote and told to call back at more appropriate times for them.

I am so frustrated with the lack of communication and level of respect I have been provided.

I have been taking my car there for the last 12 years and have allways found them helpful and curtious. They do great work and I woul highly recomend them.

I went into Lennox motors today to pick up my car, after the lady in reception spoke down to us, was not helpful at all in answering our questions, rushed us, and in the end pointed her arm out the door basically kicking us out and turning around I certainly wouldn’t recommend them. When I questioned her complete lack of respect and rudeness she yelled back that they are on a deadline... they don’t have time for this!?! For customer service? To answer their paying customers questions about the safety of their cars? Extremely disappointing for what once was a fantastic mechanic in a small town. Very disappointed

As I was travelling from Brisbane to Melbourne my clutch went as I was driving the Byron to Ballina road just as I was passing by Lennox Head. My car went into second gear and would not budge. I was able to get into Lennox Head and by chance my car came to a halt right in front of Lennox Head Motors. A good mechanic is hard to find and I am always nervous as I have had some dodgy and overpriced work done on my cars over the years. I checked the reviews on this business and read the last negative review about someone who’s car didn’t pass a roadworthy (if your car doesn’t pass roadworthy it’s not the mechanics fault it’s yours... just saying) however I was still concerned. But I had no choice but to get my work done by the shop. All I can say is that if I lived in Northern Rivers this would be my go to car mechanic. Not only did they sort my clutch out at a very reasonable price they also remedied a problem I had with the air flow that I had attempted to get fixed twice by two different mechanics who didn’t fix the problem and charged me a lot of money for. The pricing was extremely affordable, both reception and the mechanics were thorough and very helpful to an out of Towner passer by. I need some more mechanic work done and just wish I was back in Lennox Head but unfortunately am back in Melbourne and have to wade through dodgy and overpriced mechanics to hopefully get the job done right. I would highly recommend this shop.

My partner took her car in yesterday for a pink slip and went to pick it up in the afternoon. It wasn’t until she got home and read the receipt that she realised they failed her for having faded number plates (which they aren’t!?). Although we both completely disagree, she went online to order new plates. Unfortunately they take up to 21 days to deliver and rego is due in four days. So just this morning she took her new plate receipt down to show them, hoping they could pass the pink slip in the mean time.

Just received a phone call from her very upset. The mechanic was unbelievably rude, speaking to her while on the phone and being very dismissive. He said “why would you do that, go to the RTA and they’ll give you different plates over the counter”. My partner was confused because there was no communication in the beginning that she had to do this, and secondly she didn’t want a set of different plates, she wanted a new pair with the same rego letters and numbers. So she replied “I don’t understand” to which the mechanic just walked out of the room.

My partner isn’t one for confrontation at all so she just got teary and upset, which the receptionist shrugged off too.

I’m just in disbelief that a customer can be treated like that, it was SO incredibly rude.

Of course we won’t be returning there, and I’ll be telling others to avoid Lennox Motors whenever I get the opportunity too.
