These guys used to be great. The delivery driver delivered a day early most of the time and was super friendly.
This week we ordered on wednesday and we were assured that we would get delivery by the weekend. Called back today (friday) to check it was still coming as our store is incredibly cold and sales are slow without heaters! They said no problem it would definitely be out today.
Called back at 5pm as we were getting worried, we were told the delivery was "moved to monday"! We weren't even advised. Really poor customer service. She said "the driver hadn't advised us yet". It's YOUR driver!!
Will be looking for a new gas company as soon as possible. Now we will have horrible sales and a freezing shop all weekend. Thanks for nothing Elgas.

Hopeless service. Do not bother with this company. Promised a delivery and left me without gas. Lost a day of work and income.

Do not use Elgas, they are all friendly and accommodating when they want your business and then when you need them urgently they do not care. They have the worse customer service, the lady is rude and passive aggressive. I have been trying to get gas delivered to a tanker I have just had installed. We have no heating in a house we just bought and are having hydronic heating installed, but the heating cannot be installed until gas tank is full. We have elderly parents living here but still not compassion except to keep blaming me. I have been told by them that it is my fault that I did not get the Certificate of Compliance to them on time so I will have to wait 2 weeks for the next delivery run in my area. I have been calling each day since the 6th May to get a date but Louisa keeps tell me that she cannot get hold of transport. I find it hard to believe that a large company cannot contact their drivers. I was also told that for $110.00 delivery fee they may be able to get me a delivery sooner. I agreed to pay fee but still not date. It seems that there is no communication there. I have became so frustrated at the way Louisa speaks to me that I have become very stress and do not wish to speak to her but I have no choice. They say they will call back but I have to call them to follow up. It is appalling service.

ive had no hot water in my house for three days because ive had no gas, ive tried calling elgas, emailing them and signing up to their page and even though they said id be contacted within 24 hours they never contacted me. Elgas has really low standards customer service and no respect for the people they service. if i could give Elgas negative stars i would, they dont deserve to be in business. On the other hand once i gave up getting any kind of response from elgas i found a website called Agas national, theyre on time, reasonably priced and i actually got delivery within 3 hours of placing my order. I couldnt find Agas in the yellow pages so they get 5 stars on Elgasses review page just show how #@%$ your customer service is.

Careful of the prices they charge. I only have one 45Kg cylinder and only use it for cooking. Elgas charge $164.48 to exchange for a full cylinder and also charge $37.00 annual fee for rental. As it takes me around three years to use a full 45Kg cylinder it costs me a total of $275.48 or $6.12 per Kg!!!I can buy a full 8.5 Kg cylinder at Bunnings for $54.00 and exchange it when empty for $22.00. This equates to $116.47for 45 Kg or $2.60per Kg - less than HALF the price or 43% of the price charged by Elgas and I can get same day service!! If you only use Gas for cooking - supply your own and save heaps. Even if you use a cylinder every year it still costs $4.48 through Elgas. Go figure.

NOT HAPPY! It seems there are quite a few unhappy Elgas customers! I have TWO gas bottles and on Saturday ordered TWO as we had completely run out. We ordered two at 7.46am on saturday morning! They said it would take UP TO 3 working days ... 5 days of freezing cold showers , no washing up, and no cooking on the gas top and we STILL have not received our gas. Not one! THEN when I call up the company ELGAS they tell me because I only ordered ONE (I ordered TWO and wrote that it was urgent) My order was pushed back and even though our normal delivery day was TODAY I STILL would not be receiving it as they are "BUSY" ... What an absolute joke! Then when I ask to speak to a manager (ANY manager would be fine) their line is apparently engaged. I am NOT a happy customer and not only do I expect a discount but I will be looking elsewhere for "service". They also 'kindly' offered me the option to PAY EXTRA and order it for tomorrow ... are they kidding me! I now have the number for the Ombudsman ... would help if a manager would call me so I could TRY to resolve the issue through them first. Very disappointed in this company Cold showers and out for dinner AGAIN tonight (with 4 boys!)

I am absolutely appalled by the horrendous lack of customer service. Through no fault of our own, we ran out of gas today and Elgas refuse to deliver until Monday. That's almost 5 days without any gas at all, and they say they can't do a thing about it. At our old address we would have had a delivery within the hour, but apparently when you move just outside of the 2nd largest city in the State, you forgo little things like decent customer service and people who actually give a crap. So angry and disappointed right now.

LPG was suppose to be delivered on 11 Feb, called on 12 Feb to check, was told tanker was en route. Until today still no sign of the tanker and their website shows that the tank has been top up and the next delivery will be in May,

I have been with Elgas for a year now and to date have been reasonably happy. However, I called on Friday and spoke to an operator to order two bottles of gas for the monday as they had run out. Elgas ensure speedy delivery of bottles. However no one has turned up and when I spoke to the Elgas office in Lytton they said the order had been pushed back to thursday. I was not advised of this, and the woman who spoke to me did not even try to rectify the situation. I am waiting to speak to higher management, but I am not happy. So one star from me today.
