They responded to our emergency with compassion. Prompt specialist advice and a fully equipped emergency department "ready to go" 24/7 helped our Bella recover from a slipped disc. One of a few that perform spinal surgery.

Our poor foster boy Oxford presented our regular clinic with a sore neck - they tried pain relief and antibiotics to no avail, so then they did x-rays which revealed a bulging disk and some calcification of the spine. So then came stronger painkillers and antiinflammatories for about a period of a week - there was only a small improvement, even with a dose of Valium.

All during the above, we were syringe feeding him. He was miserable and his crying from the pain was heartbreaking for us. Seeing as the medicinal route wasn't working, yesterday we got a referral to Dr. Chris Preston and he got us in today for a CT scan. The scan confirmed a massive herniation in Oxford's neck. We had 3 options for our beautiful boy, who still had so much living to do, and 2 of those options weren't conducive to the that plan.

Oxford is such a rad dog and we just know that he will make someone very happy - we couldn't give up on him. We had Chris and his team do the surgery - they literally saved Oxford's life and with thier help, we will have Oxo back in his foster home for Christmas and able to be rehomed in the new year. We couldn't have done without Chris and I'm so happy that my sadness tears from yesterday have turned into happiness tears today.

The staff are friendly and helpful however the post operation care is sadly lacking unless you want to pay for it ! Our dog is still uncomfortable and occasionaly yelps in pain after having a plate fitted in her front leg, an X Ray was taken that we had to pay for and nothing was found, but our dog is still uncomfortable and sometimes in pain they are not interested unless I pay for another session

If i could i would not give them any stars at all. Their information about costs are misleading which always ends up charging you more than they advised and they kept u waiting for 1 hour and said "he can wait he is not that serious". I mean for god sake this is pet emergency centre right? Bad vet i would say, dont go they are pricey and rude
