Great Webpage, but I place my orders over the phone.

Firstly Cleavers have the best Firearms Website in Australia, yes I have checked them all. I don't shop online though, I open 15 pages of the stuff I want, then call them. A chick named Jade is nice as she puts me through to the sales staff. I always enjoy talking about gun stuff while getting them to run around the shop getting my list of items. These people know their job, and I get to save money as they are the cheapest. I've been a shooter for over 40 years and have had bad experiences with other gun shops. Last week I put 3 orders totaling $2500 with a saving of at least $600. I've even had the pleasure of chatting with the owner Sam who is a passionate guy and fun to deal with. I plan on going to the actual shop as I hear it's awesome, but until then I will keep shopping online The postage is fast and well-priced. I live 1100 km from Brisbane and when a local shooter is going to Cleavers, I place ammo orders to be picked up as the prices are just so much cheaper. I've also had them order rifle barrels and chassis from the USA for me. Shop online here, you won't regret it

Try somewhere else first

I am deeply disappointed with the service, or rather the lack thereof, provided by Cleaver Firearms (CA) throughout my entire experience of purchasing a rifle from them.



To begin with, their website fails to accurately indicate genuine stock levels, complicating decision-making and necessitating either a visit to the shop or a phone call. Opting for the latter, one is subjected to extensive wait times and the frustration of navigating through various extensions before reaching an actual person. Eventually, resorting to visiting the shop becomes the most practical option.



Upon arrival, one encounters multiple CA representatives scattered throughout the premises, seemingly occupied yet inaccessible unless directly approached. Waiting for acknowledgment or assistance proves futile, demanding assertiveness from the customer to receive attention.



After finally placing an order for a rifle, I was assured of its availability with their supplier in Australia. However, a week later, upon following up, I was informed that the item was not in stock locally, necessitating a three-month wait. Despite feeling compelled to wait due to already making a deposit payment, I couldn't help but lament the lack of upfront clarity regarding stock status during the initial purchase.



The ordeal continued when attempting to secure a rifle scope. Despite assurances from a CA representative that their supplier had stock available, I was instructed to complete an online purchase, selecting "back order" and placing a 25% deposit. This directive aimed to facilitate the order process during CA's closure on Sundays and Mondays. However, upon following up on Tuesday, I was informed that the item was out of stock, with no indication of a delivery date. To compound matters, I was now faced with a $35 transaction fee for a refund, despite the misinformation provided earlier.



This level of service is unacceptable and incredibly disappointing. While Cleaver Arms may have had humble beginnings as a family-oriented organization, they seem to have lost touch with their community, displaying arrogance and a disregard for customer satisfaction.

Poor CUSTOMER service

There's a reason they get a 2.3 star rating spent a lot of money with them but no more very very very poor packaging and no customer service....

Worst customer service ever

Wow, before writing this review, I have read multiple reviews and I must say, I seriously do not know how anyone would want to shop in this store or how they stay in business with the attitude that is presented at this shop.As much as some workers are trying to be helpful other just have no idea what they are doing. After speaking to their so called gunsmith who I believe is also the owner I must say that I'd rather spend double the money in a different store than to buy anything from this most rude and unproffecianal bunch I have ever dealt with.

Customer and business skills go right out the window. Its a shame and I think he must be making enough money since he is pushing more than 50% of his customers away. He defenitly lost this one and I'll make sure anyone that I know will never shop there again.

Customer service??

Have been into this shop twice, furst time thought I got the guy on a bad day but it happened again. I have never encountered staff who just dont care and are rude like this Fter i have driven an hour and half to the store.. i left and went to another store where there actually is customer service. Shame as the owner seems a very nice gyy.

Very poor service

They made me feel like a total fool, until I said to the salesperson, I'm not an idiot and don't treat me like one, I made my purchase elsewhere .

Great shop

Never had a drama a Cleavers, shop there regularly,have brought plenty of rifles and accessories over the years, puchased my first handgun this week and as always they were very helpful. Best prices and product range I've come across.

Very Poor Servise

I went in there during the week when they are at their quietest hoping to get better customer service. There was one person on the floor stacking boxes on a display. I approached him and said something along the lines of " excuse me, would you be able to look up my order status please". Without saying a word, he turned his back to me and continued to stack boxes. After putting another 5 or so boxes on the display, he walked off. He then called out from behind a computer "well, whats your order number"? These are the first words he actually spoke to me and goes a long way into explaining why this shop has such bad reviews on so many websites.

Thankfully there are plenty of gun shops around with fantastic customer service so and I have no need to spend my money at Cleaver Firearms.

Unfortunately it has been my experience with Cleavers that at least 70% of the time they do not have stock of the item you order from their website. One would not mind so much except that the back order wait is beyond ridiculous, 11 months and still no show? I also waited 5 months for another item, at least I did get it eventually. I cancelled the 11 month wait item, just beyond a joke. I have found the staff reasonable on the phone, they seem a little reserved, possibly they cop a lot of flack and no wonder. If you do not have it, do not advertise it for sale. The customer and Cleavers staff would all be a lot happier. If you are going to order from them ring and ask if they do actually have it in stock, I will never just order off their website ever again.
