Better Performance Car Care

Got a pre purchase on a XR8 at there Kingston branch. Was told it was mechanically good except a few minor things.

Took it to my mechanic back in Launceston (Brad's Automotive) to repair the small jobs, he said it was leaking power steering oil all over (obvious sec he looked at it). Quoted me $1795 for new pump, high pressure hose and rack.

Better Performance tried to dismiss me, told me drive all the way back to look at it, when I said my mechanic could confirm it they said "Either way nothing we could do" so I was gonna drive across the state for nothing?

The director of Better Performance said my mechanic saw it because he's a XR enthusiast (what a thing to say) and said these things are to be expected in cars (no kidding thats why I took it to them to look at and they didnt find it).

She said best they could do was offer an apology (my mechanic doesn't take apologies as payment though).



Didn't even refund the inspection let along cover cost I've now incured.
