We went there for a Wed lunch. My Pad Thai seafood - I requested prawn only bc I can't take squid any more - was very nice. It could be nicer if it came with a generous lemon wedge (had to ask for it and somehow they only gave very thin slice - I mean razor thin !!). My friend 's chicken penang was just average though.
However, compared to my local Chili Padi in WaterGarden the food here was much better though.

Four of us were here for lunch last week. We all did the $19 lunch option which is two courses with drink. I had the Penang Noodles which I found slightly harsh but my Malaysian friend tells me it is 99% authentic to the original in his estimation. We were upstairs which is definitely the nicer part but I know it can get incredibly noisy as it has a low roof and gets crowded. We were there on a Monday so it was fairly quiet.

I expected something more from a restaurant which is named chilli padi, but unfortunately the food was not even close to spicy! I have been to Malaysia numerous times and married to a Malaysian, so I would say that Im a pretty good judge of a good Malaysian place and this is far from it (at least for the dishes which I have ordered).
The lower section is open until pretty late though so it can be a good option after a night out when youre after some food, but want to steer away from junk food!
