Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances one of our party was unable to fly.

As such, rather than do what many others do (fly on someone else's ticket), I wanted to be honest and asked for a compassionate name change to allow another family member to take his place.

I was refused by online chat and the final fee was $330. I would have paid $50 which is a reasonable fee for a simple first name change and in the end I have paid the $330, but obviously I am disappointed with the excessive fee and also the lack of human feeling displayed by Jetstar staff.
