QV

What can I say about QV. I am there every working day of the year. It started with a lot of promise but I feel that it is struggling to find its identity. Its got plenty for everyone in terms of restaurants, but then has the up market glamour shops. These seem to change hand every year, so not sure if that is the right fit. Great layout, and I think it has potential to be a real Melbourne centre, when it works itself out.

QV was designed to be an upmarket shopping destination but hasnt really lived up to the dream. The laneway experience hasnt really been recreated as the rain and wind whips through. A number of the boutiques have folded and they all probably suffer from the popularity of Zara down in Bourke St. The 3 degrees pub has also recently shut. No great loss. The best thing about QV is that the basement has a Woolworths and a Big W and the car park is very large (keep your dockets to get cheap parking).
