QV is a bit of a gem in the heart of the city. I only really discovered how good it was once I started working in the complex but it has everything I need, and it makes it easy to run errands or pick up bits and pieces you need and theres a wide selection of food stores on the site. Theres also a Woolworths, Big W, post office, pharmacy, Dan Murphys and an Officeworks.

Surprise and delight. This is what the QV can do. from the food court on groudl floor, the "hidden" wollies at the bottom level, harvey norman a few floors up and all the cafes and bars scattered around the lane ways.
I have been working there 18 months now and i still occasionally find something that I had not realised was there. Probably not so good if you are looking for a specific store for the first time there but I like a place that keep offering surprises.

For a shopping centre that isn't very big, QV manages a very good impersonation of a maze with it's sloping lane ways and multitude of levels that don't seem to connect up evenly.
Once you learn to navigate it you'll find big stores like Big W, Woolworths, OfficeWorks & Dan Murphy's along with a decent sized food court. There are also a selection of clothing stores like General Pants and Edge and some boutique outlets on the higher end of the price scale.
Oh and an Aussie Post, I always forget that one is in there!

QV is presented as a funky modern shopping precinct, and on some levels it certainly achieves this. But on others I feel it lets itself down. It's got a lot of space, but not many shops to actually shop at, at least for a typical guy like me.
It's strength is building as more of a food precinct though, with a mix of food court, cafes, restaurants and bars. It's certainly a great go-to destination for those after a feed in the city, especially office workers.
