Section 8 is one surprising and funky little alley way bar. This is basically an old small car space contains an old shipping container thats been converted into a bar, heaps of shipping pallets that serve as seating, and a big plastic sheeting roof to cover it all. It doesnt sound like much, but somehow the simplicity of this place is what makes it so enjoyable.
Definitely a good stop for some drinks on a nice day. And sometimes they even get a sausage sizzle going that specialises in serving HUGE sausages in buns. Check it out!

Once a pop up bar, this place is here to stay now. Nice idea down a laneway; outside drinking area; shipping container housing the bar. So Melbourne. Its nice to be able to enjoy the sunshine, be outside and enjoy a beer in the middle of the city. A favourite after work place for us.

Section 8 is a prime example of what Melbourne's inner city scene is all about. Found down a dingy lane way (of course) behind a cyclone wire fence you'll find a few shipping containers housing a bar and some toilets. Instead of traditional seating you'll find people sitting on wooden pallets converted to benches and tables beneath the graffiti covered walls. Along with a full bar they also serve decent coffee during the day.
Highly recommended everyone drop by for at least a drink if you're visiting the city.
