Shoya Japanese Restaurant

We came here 3 years ago to celebrate my wifes birthday, and as it was a special occasion we decided to go for the full degustation menu. It was very expensive, but we were left feeling very impressed. My wife loved it so much that we celebrated her next birthday here as well!

The food here was simply fantastic and a superb experience compared to most other Japanese restaurants in Melbourne. We were particularly impressed with sashimi that was served in an ice globe, and even the fresh wasabi that was grated fresh right in front of us.
The other customers dinig here were actually all Japanese which is a good indicator of an authentic, high quality Japaense restaurant. Legend has it one of the Iron Chefs even dined here once and loved it! If this place is good enough for a legendary Iron Chef, then its good enough for me!
