The Carlton Club

Had a great wow factor when we went there. Bar was busy and buzzing but it was the spray on velvet on everything that was so cool. I can only assume that's how everything was covered in a velvety feel. Upstairs is a great space too at the roof top bar. Lots of tropical palms make a nice change in the city.

Head upstairs off Bourke St and you'll find yourself in a menagerie of zoo animals and red swirling carpet. Big booths are available to sink into or you can step out onto the balcony, sheltered from the sounds of the city by large plants. Keep heading upstairs another feel levels (just keep going, trust me) and you'll find yourself at Palms, their rooftop bar. Surrounded by tropical plants it's easy to order a cocktail, sit back, and forget you're in the middle of the city.
