Like many of us I first discovered Zara overseas. At the time for we Aussies it offered some amazingly stylish clothes at great prices. There was almost a sense of prestige to be able to come back home and wear Zara when most other Aussies weren't. Now that they've finally opened here I can't help but feel a little disappointed.
Whilst no doubt they still have stylish stuff here and reasonable prices, I'm yet to find something that actually suits or fits me (never been a problem overseas). It almost like we get stuck with unwanted stock down here or something. Who knows.
So whilst I love Zara, I'm yet to love Zara Australia.

Zara is a shopping phenomena. Owned by one of the worlds richest men the business model is to get the copies of the latest fashions made quickly anywhere in the world to good quality but low prices. Only the Zara brand is sold and it might be made in Vietnam or Bulgaria or Portugal wherever the low bidder is found. I like the mens gear because is if often bright not like the dark uniform that is typical of Melbourne. The womens department doesnt have enough change rooms which I suspect adds the feeling of a shopping frenzy. David Jones must be suffering.
