Brisbane Removalists

Brisbane Removalists was booked to move the contents of our one bedroom flat from inner-city Brisbane to a house in north Brisbane. When I called and booked the move three weeks in advance Wayne was very friendly and helpful. At 7am on the morning of the move (when the removalists were due to arrive at 11am), I received a call from Wayne apologising and saying the truck would not start. He also mentioned it had not started since 4.30pm the previous afternoon. As a result I chose to scramble to book another removalist as there was no guarantee Brisbane Removalists' truck would start. This was highly stressful for myself and my partner, taking away from the excitement of moving into the first home we had purchased. I did manage to book another removalist that day but due to lateness and our tricky requirements of moving using a lift in our apartment building, I spent two hours personally sprinting with furniture up and down my lift and basement car park in 35 degree heat. Wayne, if you knew the truck was broken at 4.30pm the day before, you should have called me to give me more notice so I could try and make alternative plans. I do hope you were telling the truth that the truck was in-fact broken down, and that it wasn't just that your company couldn't be bothered doing the job leading into a long weekend. I am very disappointed and will be telling everyone I know to avoid Brisbane Removalists. I am sad to have to leave such a negative review but you caused extreme stress to me yesterday, so I feel it is deserved.
