Experienced Operators!! So happy we found them!!!

We've been to a large number of lighting businesses in and around Sydney and have found the best lighting shop in the business at LightStyle! These guys are experienced operators who have been around for over 20 years so we were shocked to have just come across them! Admittedly we live in Clareville and don't venture to the East often, but everywhere else we searched on the Northern Beaches, Lower North Shore and Southern Suburbs didn't quite tick all the boxes.



We were looking for quality products at affordable prices, possibly Australian Made and staff that were knowledgable enough to be able to guide us through our re-invention of our home. We've been there for 25 years so everything suddenly felt tired and dated.



The staff were switched on (pardon the pun) and gave us so many awesome suggestions and tips. I wish we met them 7 months earlier, as we seriously considered giving up.



They got involved, excited even for us and now that the job is done and our Australian made pendants and lampshades are in, we've transformed our home into a real showpiece and have fallen in love with our home all over again.

Not as Advertised

We bought 3 lights out of their catalogue and when we finally got them and opened them at home they weren't as pictured with the 'gold' actually being copper. I called immediately to explain the issue and without even seeing the item or asking for more details or the store owner refused became very rude and said she'd only offer a credit note. She even said she didn't care that the Fair Trading rules say you get a refund if the product isn't as advertised. I have submitted a complaint to Fair Trading. Don't buy unless you've seen the item and are 100% sure you want that item because (now that I've been sharing my story) this store is not customer-focused and not interested in helping customers get what they want or paid for.

Lamp shade made to order

it’s the second time i have bought lights here, a great store with friendly staff. I bought ceiling lights, these modern ring pendants and some custom made lampshades. Everything the staff recommended worked out really well.

Custom made lamp shades

Lightstyle re- covered some old lamp shades and did a really good job. It was not cheap but it was well worth it.

Awesome products, knowledgeable staff

I was on sensory overload when I got there. There’s an extensive range of gorgeous lighting and the staff were fantastic in helping me choose. I love everything we’ve chosen and I wish these guys all the best.

Great business

I would like to highly recommend the new team at Lightstyle Moore Park; they are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They have a terrific range of good quality gear and as local electricians its great having a store that we can recommend without hesitation.

We ordered three identical lights from this shop ($500) and paid full amount by credit card even though the goods were not available and had to be ordered in. We could have just paid a deposit but decided to pay the full amount. Bad mistake. A few hours later we realised that the lights would not work in our home after all. Yes, we should have thought it all through in advance but we made a mistake. So I phoned three hours after placing the order to cancel the order and to ask for a refund. I didnt think this would be a problem as we hadnt actually received the lights and wouldnt do so for some weeks. Initially the guy refused point blank. Said they only exchange. Then he reluctantly, with much bad grace, agreed to refund the amount paid but for that I had to come in and present my credit card (yes, he really said that). 20 minutes later, after I was half-way over the Sydney harbour bridge on my way in he phoned and said he had changed his mind and no refund was possible. Note we didnt have the goods; we had just placed an order and paid in full. He wasnt interested in a cooling-off period. Oh no. Dont dare change your mind we have your money, tough luck. They must be incredibly desperate to treat customers like this. Id hate to think what sort of service they would provide if we had a problem with the lights later on. Their attitude to a customer who had honestly just ordered (not taken possession of) the wrong lights, and had paid the full amount when only a deposit was required, was appalling. And it was OK for the guy we dealt with to change his mind: first he said he would provide a refund, then he phoned to say he had changed his mind. OK for him; not for us. Stay away.
