3 Lines Tiling

David’s work was cheap and NOT to the appropriate standards. Within 12 months tiles had cracked and I noticed water appearing through the cracks. It turned out that water had been getting under and behind the tiles, and due to his inadequate waterproofing, there was serious water damage to joists and bearers under the house – costing thousands to fix. It was difficult to find someone willing to do the repair works as they didn’t know the extent of the shoddy work (no water stop, poor joints, incorrect waterproofing and sealing etc etc.).

I was advised of the poor workmanship by multiple trades and was recommended to gut the area and start again by many.

Upon bringing the issues to David’s attention, he ignored any contact I made with him. I have now paid twice as much again on what David charged, and can’t be certain that the remaining areas of David’s work won’t fail.
