I do not recommend Sundoctors Morningside. I had PDT under the recommendation and supervision of the doctor in the clinic. My reaction to the PDT was very severe and despite contacting the office numerous times to explain my symptoms I was eventually visited A&E and was hospitalised where I finally improved. I was not asked if I was taking medication. I was taking a medication with an excessive sunlight warning on the day of treatment. 6 months later and I still have ongoing symptoms from the treatment. Poor follow up from Sundoctors and the Morningside Clinic, therefore not recommended.

I’d like to share my experience of Sundoctors so that others are warned. The priority for this company is the dollar, not the well being of the client. My treatment was with Dr Callan and Sundoctors Morningside. I was recommend PDT for rosacea and adult acne, although according to Dr Callan, I showed no signs of precancerous cells. On the morning of the treatment 15/10/18 I was nervous as I have a history of severe facial injury 20 years ago due to an accident and I’ve had 4 surgeries to correct the damage. I was not asked if I was taking any medication on the day of treatment, in fact I was on Minocycline which has an excessive sunlight warning. My reaction to the treatment was severe and resulted in hospitalisation. 6 months later and I have considerably worse facial rednesses. The recovery has been highly emotional, distressing and traumatic . I contacted the head office of Sundoctors and the staff were sympathetic and understanding. I was led to believe that Sundoctors would compensate me for the pain and suffering and treatment for the damages caused by the PDT. After being dragged along for 6 months, Sundoctors finally dumped me. The follow up at Sundoctors head office was just as empty as my treatment at Morningside. Please be warned, I recommend seeking treatment from an appropriately qualified dermatologist for this sort of treatment rather than a company whose bottom line is making money.
