Damaged my wall- do not recommend

If I could give zero stars I would. All I needed was for someone to install floating shelves on my wall and they sent someone who "has never installed shelving before" which resulted holes all over my wall and damaging the shelves. This lead to a property damage claim through IKEA. Even through this claim the communication to get someone to plaster and paint the wall was painful. Do yourself a favour and never use this company. Absolutely appalling experience.

Awful service and communication

If I could give negative stars, I would. After IKEA apparently booked in my assembly 5 days ago, I was messaged by ASA at 4.30pm the afternoon before telling me they won’t be able to come the following day, and the next available date was Sunday. When I questioned them, they told me it was because they didn’t get the specific design codes in time but they never asked me for them until the day before. I rearranged my work schedule to be available on the original day and they didn’t care.

I will be escalating with IKEA. They should be sacked from being one of Ikea’s vendors.

Zero communication after job’s booked

I was also informed that the assembly person will be in Contact the day before the service date but I received nothing the day before or the day for installation. The customer support team has also disappeared.

Like others I took the day off work for this assembly job. If you cannot accommodate the workload, do not book the time with your customers. People have their own plans and schedules! And IKEA should opt for another service provider; again, you either provide proper service or do not provide it at all.

A very similar experience as Just a Mum

Hi, you have an Ikea assembly scheduled for 16/07. Unfortunately the assemblers in your area are unable to complete the assembly on this date. The next available date is 18/07, are we able to reschedule to this date?

Very unhappy with your message, this date was booked, 2 weeks ago today and has now disrupted all of our plans for the week

I don't have much choice do I but I am an unhappy bunny !!

Thank you for your reply Lee.

All booked for Wednesday the 16/07

An Assembler will be in contact with you the day before assembly to confirm a time window of arrival. Please note this maybe after the assembler has finished their jobs for that day and will be from their mobile number.

Yesterday Wednesday July 16th June rolls around and surprise! no-one turns up. My calls, straight to voicemail, after texting and call with no replies I received the message "Hi Lee, assembler went to your place and nobody was home, tried to call and phone was turned off. Will need to reschedule. Thanks, ASA.

My reply ...We have both been here all day waiting for assembler to contact us, neither phone was switched off and both cars are parked here and front door has also been left open all day ? No message left on fly screen or in my mailbox. We can both see and hear if anyone is outside or in our driveway.

Once again called but still just received a voice mail reply and my texts went unanswered,

Called again 3 times this morning left messages but again no reply, then texted no reply.

At 11.25 this morning, received this text " Hi Lee, assembler went to your place and nobody was home, tried to call and phone was turned off. Will need to reschedule. Thanks, ASA

11:25 AM

Hi Lee, unfortunately we do not have availability for today. The next available will be early next week. As soon as we have confirmation of a date we will let you know.

The WORST service EVER!!!

Wow. Where do I even begin to sing the praises of Assembly Services Australia? I mean, if you're looking for an elite-level ghosting experience paired with a masterclass in last-minute disappointment—look no further!

So I ordered a $1200 IKEA unit (because adulting), and IKEA generously handed the assembly over to these champions of communication. Monday 30th June rolls around and—surprise!—nothing but radio silence. My calls? Straight to voicemail. The magical link they sent for updates? Ignored with the grace of a seasoned illusionist. No show, no heads-up, just the soft hum of shattered expectations.

But wait—it gets better! Late afternoon, someone finally awakens from their nap to let me know the assembler is gasp sick. Tragic. Can they come Tuesday instead? Sure, I’ll just reschedule my entire existence, no biggie. I ask (again) for a post-9am time so I can get my daughter to school and, you know, not leave a stranger unsupervised in my child’s room. Wild concept.

But Assembly Services Australia, ever the innovator, hits me with a 6pm message saying they'll arrive between 7am and 7:30am. Because clearly, they operate in a parallel universe where “after 9am” translates to “at the crack of dawn.” I politely (read: exasperatedly) decline, and they respond with the pièce de résistance: “Well you’ll have to reschedule.”

Spectacular.

In conclusion, if you love being ignored, inconvenienced, and baffled by customer service logic that defies both space and time—Assembly Services Australia is your dream team. For everyone else: run!!

Uncontactable....frustrating

Cannot contact as mailbox full...unsatisfactory when time constraints prevail. Waiting at home for the day waiting on a response for assembly booked a week ago. Illness happens, understandable, but please update me and call me rather than waiting on texts! Once the job is done I will re- view.
