Although the operator promptly returned my call, he was rude, dismissive and patronising. He told me that I should have ordered water earlier than now as the number of houses on tank water far exceeds the number of water trucks.

He told me “most people have looked out their windows by now and realised it isn’t going to rain”.

When I explained why I needed the water (to assist in maintaining a new pool) he told me that he didn’t need my business and then hung up on me.
