Took my car in for a transmission service and to take a look at a noise coming from the bonnet. When I got their I asked if they could also let me know any other items required for a Ford major service (120000kms) which any mechanic should know
Owner and mechanic totally refuse to communicate or even to acknowledge customers. You will only be able to correspond with a receptionist who blatantly admits she doesn't know much about cars... Mechanic refused to let me recreate the noise with them despite being one of the main reasons for the appointment.(This was done by communicating through their receptionist as they totally refused to talk to me directly). A transmission oil replacement plug was also ordered
I had to call them to get my car back at 6pm on second day in garage. They refused to wait til the morning because they are closed on Thursdays and Fridays AND the owner (although being in and out of the workshop during these days) refused to organise a time for collection
When I hurried into an Uber and arrived at 6pm the receptionist told me the mechanic (who might be able to chat about the noise) had gone home, however I could blatantly see him walking around in the garage. I was then handed an invoice of $315 when I was originally quoted $230 (note zero extras had been done). When I pointed this out I was told they couldn't remember quoting $230 and would take back the difference by draining my transmission oil. I refused this and eventually they agreed to the originally quoted amount. The owner moped in at this stage without acknowledging my presence and when I asked if he could write in service book that transmission oil had been replaced he said no.
They were also supposed to advise the cost of any other major service items (achievable by looking at the manual) prior to taking the car off the hoist (in particular I needed fuel filters replaced) which they simply forgot about or perhaps it wasn't important enough to them. I now have to spend double and make another booking somewhere to get this done
The following day I received a text saying the owner had cancelled the order for a new oil plug (about $7 on google) and they would not pick up the phone from that point despite many attempts.
Honestly a horrible experience. When you pay for a mechanic you want to be able to chat to the mechanic. These people don't care about you or your car. Do yourself a massive favour and avoid at all costs!

I contacted the owner regarding the fitting of a second hand tow bar - I described to him exactly what it came with and that it required 'mounting brackets' - he clearly stated that he was able to do the installation and quoted $150. The next day he rang me to tell me had had seen the bar I was purchasing on ebay and now required $200 to fit it. He again stated he could fit it no problem. I then purchased the bar on the basis of him stating that he was capable of fitting it. When I got to his garage he was completely disinterested in me as a client, I got the impression that he could have cared less about my requirements and it took about 30 minutes for him to finally make some inquiries at which time he came back and told me it needed mounting brackets at an additional price of $170 plus delivery ($40). This garage is the worst I have come across in a long time. If you were inclined to use this garage (I wont ever again) be aware that the quote may escalate from what was first quoted and, if what I experienced was the norm, don't expect to receive a great level of customer service either. I will never use this garage again and would not recommend it to anyone I know.
